Monday, Sept. 23

Highlights:
  • This morning in Literacy, we talked about expected behaviours at school and created a list of them.
  • We also had our first fire drill of the year. Ask me how I felt about it.
  • For PE, our warm up was Rock, Paper, Scissors Exercise. After, we practiced our underhand throwing.
  • During Math, we reviewed our base ten pictures. We started to create a picture using different blocks. Ask me what I am creating and what base tens I used. We also did an esti-mystery. Ask me if I was close!
  • In Social Studies, we continued to talk about collaboration and what this looks like at school. We worked on a activity where we have to provide examples. Ask me how I can collaborate.
  • For Reading Rotations we were introduced to a new rotation called Loose Parts. Ask me what we do in this station.

Reminders:
  • Thursday is Orange Shirt Day. Students are encouraged to wear an orange shirt if they own one.
  • Thursday evening from 4:30 - 7:00pm it will be our New Year Open House. Families are welcome to visit classrooms. There will be food trucks on site and games set up outside. This drop in evening will give you a chance to:
