Wednesday, Oct. 2

Highlights:

  • This morning in Math, we talked about how we can represent numbers through words! We practiced changing numbers from standard to words and then from words to standard. Ask me to turn the number 478 and 2363 to number words.
  • For PE, we continued practicing our throwing and catching skills by playing a new game that Mr. Newton invented! Ask me what I thought about the game and how we play.
  • During Literacy, we talked about digraphs and then discussed how our brain pockets help us with writing and reading. We talked about the memory pocket and came up with ideas. Ask me what is included in mine.
  • In Social Studies, we talked about some of the features of a map. We read a story called Follow That Map! Then we looked at where on the world map the four countries that we are learning about are. Ask me what the countries are.
  • For Wellness Wednesday, we talked about what regulation is and the ways we can regulate ourselves. Ask me what is an example of how I stay in the green zone.

Reminders:

  • Picture Day is tomorrow!
  • Apple orders are due on Oct. 9
